After completing medical studies, Vijay returns to his village and plans to setup a hospital for the poor. He meets his childhood sweetheart Basanti but her life has taken turn for the worst. Basanti is a widow living a hard life along with her young brother. Vijay and Basanti both harbor feelings for each other but are afraid to speak about it. Basanti constantly comes under the attack of the village doctor who tries to take advantage of her. The local doctor plays vicious games to ruin Vijay and his brother Ajay who is in love with his daughter Radha. Vijay sets out to triumph in his love but can he fight a prejudiced society plagued by illiteracy?

Justice Chowdhary (Mithun Chakroborthy) is a feared Don serving the poor by eliminating the wicked in the socirty. He acts as a social worker for poor people delivers them justice. One of his informers Manohar Deshmukh is killed by the police under false encounter and his sister, Sarita goes to Chowdhary for justice. Justice Chowdhary helps her and gives her a job. Meanwhile, a notorious crime lord, Ajgar Thakral finds his crime activities curbed by Justice Chowdhary. Soon a deadly war escalates between Ajgar Thakral and Justice Chowdhary and only one can rise to supremacy. But Justice Chowdhary is haunted by his past in which a criminal named Dogra murders his wife, father and sister. Aching for revenge and annihilating new born criminals, how far will Justice Chowdhary go to restore peace?

Vijay Singh is an honest Police Inspector enforcing law to bring an end to the illegal activities in his area. This does not go down well with the local politician, Netaji who operates various criminal activities. To make Vijay play for his team, Netaji proposes marriage of his daughter to Vijay's parents. In greed of large sum of dowry, Vijay's parents agree to the marriage and Vijay too gives in. But in a turn of events Vijay ends up marrying a poor girl named Sugandha. Netaji is left enraged and swears to ruin the life of Vijay while Vijay's parents subject Sugandha to torture and plan to get rid of her. Can Vijay and Sugandha's marriage survive the odds stacked against them?
